Osho Dynamic Meditation ( Lunch Provided. )

Osho Dynamic Meditation is

an active, intense, one-hour process designed for modern people to release accumulated stress, repressed emotions, and ingrained mental patterns through physical activity and catharsis before entering a state of stillness and awareness.

The Five Stages of Osho Dynamic Meditation
The meditation lasts one hour and is best done in the early morning on an empty stomach, with participants wearing loose, comfortable clothing and keeping their eyes closed throughout, preferably using a blindfold. It is typically performed with specific music that indicates the start of each new stage.
  1. Chaotic Breathing (10 minutes): Participants breathe fast, deeply, and chaotically through the nose, concentrating intensely on the exhalation. The goal is to become the breathing, building up energy in the body without a set rhythm or pattern.
  2. Catharsis (10 minutes): This is the stage of emotional release. Participants are encouraged to “explode” and let go of everything that needs to be thrown out. This can involve screaming, shouting, crying, jumping, kicking, shaking, or laughing—expressing whatever suppressed emotions are present without the mind interfering.
  3. “Hoo” Mantra and Jumping (10 minutes): With arms raised high, participants jump up and down on the flats of their feet while shouting the mantra “Hoo, Hoo, Hoo” as deeply as possible from the belly button area. This “hammering” sound is intended to activate the sex center and help energy rise through the chakras.
  4. Stillness (15 minutes): On the word “Stop!”, participants freeze immediately in whatever position they find themselves. Any movement will dissipate the energy flow. The instruction is to be completely still, a “witness” to all that is happening inside and out, observing thoughts, sensations, and feelings without judgment.
  5. Celebration (15 minutes): The final stage involves dancing and celebration with music. This is a time to express joy and gratitude, integrating the energy and aliveness generated during the meditation and carrying it forward into the day.
Benefits
The practice is reported to offer numerous psychological and physical benefits, including:
  • Significant stress reduction by lowering cortisol (the stress hormone) levels.
  • Emotional release and healing from suppressed feelings, anger, and trauma.
  • Increased self-awareness, clarity, and inner peace.
  • Breaking ingrained mental and physical patterns.
  • Enhanced energy levels and improved overall well-being.
For those who find traditional seated meditation difficult due to a restless mind and accumulated stress, Osho Dynamic Meditation provides an active path to inner silence and watchfulness.
