Osho Universal Organization – Meditative Mindfulness Inc. (“Osho Universal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects others to respect our rights as well.

We take legitimate copyright claims seriously. At the same time, copyright ownership, licensing rights, publication rights, assignments, chain of title, territorial rights, language rights, digital rights, performance rights, and authority to enforce intellectual property may be complex, limited, transferred, licensed, disputed, or otherwise subject to legal interpretation.

Accordingly, persons or entities asserting copyright infringement should provide sufficiently complete and accurate information to allow Osho Universal to identify the work, locate the challenged material, understand the rights being asserted, and evaluate the claim.

COPYRIGHT CLAIM — LEGAL NOTICE

For reliable tracking and preservation of records, we strongly encourage significant, disputed, ownership-sensitive, or document-intensive copyright claims to also be sent by certified mail, registered mail, or nationally recognized overnight courier to the address above.

General organizational email addresses, contact forms, social-media accounts, text messages, messaging applications, volunteers, event facilitators, individual officers, directors, employees, or other representatives are not designated channels for copyright notifications and may not result in prompt routing to the Copyright Compliance Department.

2. Information Required in a Copyright Notice

3. Identification of Each Claim

Broad or generalized allegations may not provide enough information for Osho Universal to properly evaluate a claim.

For each allegedly infringing item, please identify the following.

A. Original Copyrighted Work

Where known, provide:

• Title of the work
• Author, speaker, photographer, artist, composer, publisher, or creator
• Date of creation
• Date and place of first publication
• Original publisher
• Copyright registration number, if applicable
• Country in which copyright protection is claimed

• A copy or sufficiently identifiable excerpt where reasonably necessary

B. Material on Osho Universal’s Service

Please provide:

• Exact URL

• Description of the material

• Specific passage, photograph, recording, video, or other portion being challenged

C. Nature of the Alleged Infringement

Please explain what portion of the identified copyrighted work is allegedly infringed and how the challenged material allegedly infringes the asserted rights.

D. Rights Allegedly Controlled

Please identify the specific rights claimed, including where applicable:

4. Evidence of Copyright Ownership and Authority

Submission of a copyright notice does not by itself establish that the claimant owns the copyright or possesses authority to enforce every right asserted.

Where ownership, chain of title, authority, exclusivity, scope of rights, or enforcement authority is unclear, disputed, incomplete, or reasonably requires verification, Osho Universal may request reasonable supporting documentation.

Such documentation may include, as appropriate:

• Original publication records
• Assignments of copyright
• Transfer agreements
• Chain-of-title documentation
• Licensing agreements
• Exclusive-license agreements
• Publishing agreements
• Distribution agreements

• Probate, inheritance, or succession documents
• Documentation showing transfer from an author or creator
• Documentation identifying the original owner
• Documentation establishing current ownership

• Attorney authorization
• Documentation establishing the authority of a publisher, foundation, trust, corporation, licensing organization, or other representative
• Territorial limitations
• Language limitations

Osho Universal may request clarification or supporting documentation where reasonably necessary to determine whether the claimant possesses the particular rights implicated by the challenged use.

5. Scope of Copyright Rights

Where relevant, Osho Universal may request information concerning the scope of a copyright registration and subsequent transfers, assignments, licenses, or agreements.

Possession of a copyright registration does not necessarily establish that a claimant currently controls every exploitation right, territory, language, medium, edition, adaptation, recording, photograph, audiovisual work, translation, or derivative work associated with underlying subject matter.

Where scope of ownership is material to the review, Osho Universal may request documentation establishing the particular rights asserted.

6. Claims Submitted by Representatives

If a notice is submitted by someone other than the alleged copyright owner, the claimant should identify:

• The copyright owner
• The claimant
• The relationship between the claimant and copyright owner
• The basis of the claimant’s authority
• Whether the claimant is an attorney, agent, exclusive licensee, publisher, distributor, trust, foundation, corporation, organization, or other representative

Where authority is not apparent, Osho Universal may request reasonable evidence confirming that authority.

7. Claims Relating to Osho Materials

Claims involving Osho-related materials may concern different works, editions, publishers, recordings, translations, photographs, archival materials, jurisdictions, licenses, assignments, or chains of title.

A claimant asserting rights in Osho-related content should therefore identify with reasonable specificity:

• The exact discourse, book, talk, photograph, video, audio recording, transcript, translation, artwork, publication, or other work claimed
• The original author or copyright owner
• The date of creation or publication, where known
• The original publisher or producer, where relevant
• The claimant’s claimed source of ownership or authority

8. Copyright, Trademark and Other Rights Are Distinct

Copyright ownership is distinct from other intellectual-property and contractual interests.

Osho Universal may request clarification or additional information reasonably necessary to evaluate a claim.

• Identity of the original work
• Identification of the challenged material

A request for additional documentation does not constitute acceptance or rejection of a claim.

10. Incomplete or Unclear Notices

A communication that does not adequately identify the copyrighted work, challenged material, claimant, or asserted rights may not permit Osho Universal to meaningfully investigate the matter.

Where appropriate, Osho Universal may request additional information.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to disregard or impose requirements inconsistent with a notification that otherwise substantially complies with applicable law.

11. Physical Copy of Significant Claims

For recordkeeping, authentication, preservation, and efficient review, Osho Universal strongly requests that significant or disputed copyright claims, particularly those involving contested ownership or substantial supporting documentation, also be sent in signed physical form by:

12. False, Fraudulent or Materially Misleading Claims

Copyright notices should be submitted only after a reasonable investigation into ownership, authorization, and the challenged use.

Osho Universal reserves all rights and remedies concerning notices that are:

• Knowingly false
• Fraudulent
• Materially misleading
• Submitted without authority
• Submitted using materially inaccurate ownership representations
• Otherwise abusive or unlawful

Where applicable, Osho Universal expressly reserves any rights and remedies available under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) and other applicable law.

13. Fair Use and Other Legally Authorized Uses

Not every use of copyrighted material constitutes copyright infringement.

Depending upon the circumstances, material may lawfully be used pursuant to:

Osho Universal reserves the right to consider applicable defenses, exceptions, licenses, and legal limitations when evaluating any claim.

14. Review of a Claim Is Not an Admission

Receipt, acknowledgment, investigation, forwarding, restriction, temporary removal, alteration, restoration, or response to a copyright complaint does not constitute an admission that:

• The claimant owns the asserted copyright
• The claimant has authority to enforce the copyright
• The asserted copyright is valid
• The asserted copyright is enforceable
• The claimant controls all rights asserted
• The challenged material constitutes infringement
• The use was unauthorized
• Osho Universal has incurred liability
• Any defense, exception, license, limitation, or other legal right has been waived

All rights, defenses, objections, claims, privileges, and remedies are expressly reserved.

15. Counter-Notification and Restoration

Where material is removed or access is disabled pursuant to a copyright complaint, the affected party may have rights under applicable law to submit a counter-notification.

Osho Universal may restore material where legally appropriate and consistent with applicable law.

Nothing in this Policy limits rights available under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act or other applicable law.

16. No Waiver

Nothing contained in this Policy:

• Waives any legal defense
• Waives any jurisdictional objection
• Waives any objection regarding service of legal process
• Constitutes consent to jurisdiction
• Constitutes acceptance of a claimant’s ownership allegations
• Expands any claimant’s legal rights
• Limits any rights or defenses belonging to Osho Universal
• Creates obligations beyond those imposed by applicable law

17. Formal Legal Process

This Copyright & DMCA Policy concerns copyright complaints and DMCA notifications relating to material appearing on Osho Universal’s online services.

It does not establish or modify the legally permissible methods for service of:

• Lawsuits
• Summonses
• Subpoenas
• Court orders
• Copyright Claims Board proceedings
• Other formal legal process

Such matters are governed by applicable law.

18. Reservation of Rights

Osho Universal expressly reserves the right, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to:

• Investigate copyright claims
• Request supporting evidence
• Challenge ownership
• Challenge chain of title
• Challenge enforcement authority

• Decline voluntary action where a claim has not been adequately substantiated

19. Policy Changes

Osho Universal may revise this Copyright & DMCA Policy from time to time.

The version posted on the website will govern Osho Universal’s administrative copyright-claim procedures as of its stated effective date, subject at all times to applicable law.
